Mother Demands Justice After 7-Month-Old Baby Dies at Hidalgo Daycare

Family Left Grieving as Police Investigate Infant’s Death at Local Childcare Facility

A grieving mother in Hidalgo is calling for answers after the sudden and heartbreaking death of her 7-month-old son, Liam, who was under the care of the Little Explorers Education Center when tragedy struck.

The Hidalgo Police Department is currently investigating the infant’s death, which occurred earlier this week.

According to the mother, she dropped off Liam at the daycare around 1 p.m. and returned just two hours later to find emergency responders outside the facility.

“I saw the ambulance, and something inside told me it was him,” she told Fox News. A teacher later confirmed it was her son.

Doctor Suggests Liam Was Without Oxygen for Extended Time

The mother said she was informed by medical staff that Liam may have been without oxygen for 15 to 30 minutes before emergency crews arrived.

“I had just taken him to the doctor the day before. He was fine. Something happened at that daycare, and I want to know what,” she said tearfully.

Daycare Declines to Comment

Officials with the Little Explorers Education Center have declined to provide a statement, citing the ongoing investigation.

Cause of Death Pending Autopsy

Authorities are awaiting autopsy results to determine the official cause of death. In the meantime, the case remains under active review by the Hidalgo Police Department.
