The Starr County Sheriff’s Office took to Facebook to report their involvement in assisting with the downed helicopter incident. DPS Sergeant Eric Estrada confirmed the agency’s role in securing the crash site and directed media inquiries to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Fox News has reached out to CBP for further information on the crash but has yet to receive a response.
