Magali Vega, born in McAllen and raised in Pharr, Texas, is a dedicated journalist with roots deeply embedded in the Rio Grande Valley. At the age of six, she moved from Nuevo León to Texas, a journey that marked the beginning of her connection to the region.
Magali’s academic journey led her to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where she graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication Broadcast. Her career in journalism took off at KRGV, where she started as a teleprompter operator. In 2020, Magali joined Entravision, where she quickly adapted to various roles, including news editor, bilingual reporter, and producer.
In 2021, Magali ventured into anchoring as a bilingual sports anchor, a role she held until December 2023. Additionally, she contributed to the sports world through a radio segment aired on Fox 92.3 FM in El Paso.
Outside of her professional life, Magali is passionate about creating a fulfilling and enjoyable life. She believes in the importance of balance and strives to make every moment count, both in and out of the newsroom.
