The suspect, identified as Melvin Toroya, led DPS officers on a pursuit before abandoning his vehicle and attempting to flee on foot.

Undocumented Migrants Flee Toward the Rio Grande Valley

During the incident, four undocumented migrants exited the vehicle and ran in different directions toward the Rio Grande Valley.
