La Joya Car Crash Under Investigation

Meanwhile, in the City of La Joya, a single-vehicle crash has left two people in hospital. The incident occurred early in the morning when authorities received a call about a vehicle on fire on Circle Sixth Street near Mile Four. The vehicle had reportedly crashed into a ditch and caught fire, ejecting both occupants.

Investigation Suspects Alcohol Involvement

Manuel Casa De La Hoya, police spokesperson, provided some insight into the accident. “Based on the marks that were left, it looks like they went off the road, lost control, went into a ditch, went airborne, apparently flipped a few times, landed, and, of course, got ejected,” he explained. Authorities suspect alcohol may have been involved in the incident, as beer containers were found at the scene. The case remains under investigation.
