U.S. Customs and Border Protection to Temporarily Close Veteran’s International Bridge

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced the temporary closure of the Veteran\’s International Bridge in Brownsville to mark the 23rd anniversary of 9/11. The closure is scheduled to facilitate a remembrance ceremony that will commence at 7 a.m. on the anniversary date. Normal operations at the bridge are expected to resume at 8 a.m. following the ceremony.

Travelers are advised to plan ahead and make alternative arrangements during this closure period. To avoid potential traffic congestion, individuals are encouraged to utilize the Los Indios International Bridge as an alternate route for crossing the border during the temporary closure of the Veteran\’s International Bridge.
