McAllen, TX – A high-speed chase that began in Palmview ended in McAllen when the fleeing vehicle stopped at La Plaza Mall due to a flat tire. While four passengers were arrested at the scene, the driver, who fled on foot, remains at large.

The Incident

The chase began in Palmview after police attempted to stop a vehicle that refused to pull over. According to Palmview Police Chief Jose Trevino, the pursuit continued until the car stopped at La Plaza Mall, where the driver fled the scene, leaving behind four passengers. The Palmview Police Department received assistance from McAllen PD and Border Patrol in making the arrests.

Search for the Driver

Authorities are still searching for the driver, described as a Hispanic male wearing a green shirt and tan pants. He was last seen running through the parking lot on the east side of the mall. The four arrested passengers are expected to face charges of evading arrest.
