Student Arrested for Threat to Rio Grande City ISD Schools
The Rio Grande City Police Department has confirmed the arrest of a student following a threat made towards several Rio Grande City ISD schools. While details of the threat have not been disclosed, authorities have stated that the student was currently enrolled in the district. At this time, no additional information has been provided, but officials assure that there is no immediate danger to students and staff.
In a separate incident, the Elsa Police Department also apprehended two students for making threats via social media. These two minors, who attended Carlos F. Truan Junior High, have been placed in juvenile detention and will face charges for making a terroristic threat.
