The shooting occurred early Saturday morning, and eyewitness video shows the victim collapsing near his vehicle shortly after the gunfire erupted.
Authorities say the suspect—described as a Hispanic male—was last seen fleeing the scene in a red Mustang with a black bumper. The sheriff’s office has not yet released the victim’s name, but confirmed he remains hospitalized in critical condition.
“This neighborhood has always been peaceful,” one resident told reporters.
