Voters Encouraged to Participate in Local and Special Elections
RIO GRANDE VALLEY, TX — Early voting is now underway across the Rio Grande Valley as communities prepare for the upcoming May 3 local and special elections. With races ranging from city councils to school boards and emergency services districts, residents have multiple opportunities to shape the future of their local governments.
Cities such as San Juan, Progreso, and Sullivan are all holding elections, along with several school districts and six emergency services districts. Early voting offers residents the chance to avoid Election Day lines and take part in decisions that directly impact education, public safety, and local development.
