The suspects were arrested after a DPS trooper executed a PIT maneuver on their vehicle during their attempted getaway.
“I saw, I would say, five or six police or troopers driving down at a high rate of speed. As I was getting off at the exit at Boca Chica, I noticed that all the police were surrounding someone, and there was a guy on his knees with guns drawn on him,” said one witness.
Extensive Criminal Records and Outstanding Warrants
Brownsville police say both men have lengthy criminal histories:
- Oscar Rodarte is also wanted by San Benito PD for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
