As spring break approaches, many families find themselves without travel plans. However, the city of Mission has a delightful alternative in store with its free three-day “Staycation” event. Designed to provide fun-filled activities for families right at home, Staycation offers a range of attractions and entertainment options.
“Spring break is here. There are a lot of families, a lot of kids and parents that can travel right during spring break. So we thought of bringing something here close to their home at our local parks,” said an official spokesperson.
The event kicks off on Monday at Astro Land Park, offering activities, free food, prizes, and games for children. Families can continue the fun on Wednesday at Jaycee Park, with the festivities culminating on Friday, March 15th, at Ben Wirth Park. Participants are urged not to miss out, as a special surprise is promised to conclude the event.
Mission’s Staycation provides an opportunity for families to enjoy spring break without the need for extensive travel. By offering a range of activities and entertainment options, the city aims to create a memorable experience for residents and visitors alike.
