DPS Troopers Capture Fleeing Driver and Passengers
A routine traffic stop in Laredo, Texas, quickly escalated when the driver and seven passengers attempted to flee on foot. However, DPS troopers, with the help of K-9 units, successfully apprehended all eight individuals.
The driver was identified as 49-year-old Junior Adalid Montoya-Alvarez, who was wanted in Harris County for sexual assault.
A Fugitive Caught and Migrants Detained
Authorities confirmed that Montoya-Alvarez was already a fugitive before this incident. In addition to his outstanding sexual assault warrant, he now faces additional charges related to the attempted escape.
The seven undocumented migrants, originally from Mexico and Guatemala, were handed over to U.S. Border Patrol for processing.
