As the nation reflects on the sacrifices made by those who serve in uniform, we remember the lives of Border Patrol Agent Chris Luna, NY State Trooper and NY National Guard Soldier John Grassia III, and NY National Guard Soldier Casey Frankoski. These brave individuals paid the ultimate price while serving and protecting our country along the southern border.
Agent Chris Luna, a dedicated member of the Border Patrol, tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash in Starr County, Texas. His commitment to duty and his selfless service will forever be remembered by his colleagues and the communities he served.
NY State Trooper and NY National Guard Soldier John Grassia III, along with NY National Guard Soldier Casey Frankoski, also made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. Their bravery and dedication to duty serve as a reminder of the dangers faced by those who protect our borders and defend our freedoms.
NY National Guard Crew Chief SSG Jake Pratt continues to fight for his life following the tragic accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with him as he battles to recover from his injuries. May he find strength and healing in the days ahead.
As we honor the memory of Agent Luna and the fallen soldiers, let us also recognize the ongoing commitment and sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform. Their service and dedication to our country will never be forgotten.
