The Texas Department of Homeland Security and the Texas Division of Emergency Management have sprung into action as the Guadalupe River reaches historic levels.

Expanding the Disaster Zone

In a press conference, Governor Abbott announced the inclusion of Bear, Burnett, Caldwell, Guadalupe, Travis, and Williamson counties in the disaster declaration. This decision came after intense rains significantly raised water levels, leading to dangerous conditions across the region.
