Daycare Tragedy: Shocking Details in Logan Urbina’s Case Emerge
A criminal complaint reveals the heartbreaking events leading to the death of four-year-old Logan Urbina, as the community mourns.
Heartbreaking Incident at Brownsville Daycare
The Brownsville community is reeling as new details emerge about the tragic death of four-year-old Logan Urbina. The boy was discovered unconscious inside a van at the Learning Club preschool, five hours after returning from a field trip. According to a criminal complaint obtained by Fox News, the child was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
Shock and Mourning
In a scene that speaks volumes to the community’s grief, the entrance to the Learning Club preschool is now adorned with candles, toys, and stuffed animals in memory of young Logan. His family, engulfed in sorrow, is preparing for his funeral services, scheduled for Sunday at the East Chapel of Darling Mouser Funeral Home in Brownsville. Logan will be laid to rest on Monday.
“We lost our little angel in the worst way, and we are heartbroken. The families are mourning. The families will never be the same again,” shared a family member.
Legal Actions and Community Concerns
In connection to the tragic incident, two employees of the daycare—36-year-old Kin Silva and 38-year-old Santi Ree—were arrested. Both were directly responsible for Logan’s care and have been charged with injury to a child causing death. Silva was released on a $10,000 bond, while Ruiz’s bond was set at $60,000. This has sparked outrage among some community members, who believe the bonds were set too low.
“The two that have been arrested have been let out with a very low bond. The daycare continues to be open like nothing happened, but I have faith that the authorities are doing their job,” stated a concerned resident.
Despite the ongoing investigation, the daycare remains operational, a decision that has further fueled community unease.
Community Support and Final Farewell
Amidst the heartbreak, the family has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from the community. As they prepare for the final goodbye to their beloved Logan, they have requested respect and privacy during this difficult time.
“Gracias. I want to thank the community for all their support. Those that will be present this weekend, I ask for respect for our family, and we are truly grateful for everything,” said a family member.
