Authorities Seek Public Assistance in Locating Missing Individuals

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office and the Brownsville Police Department are seeking the public’s help in locating two missing individuals.

 

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office and the Brownsville Police Department are seeking the public’s help in locating two missing individuals.

Laura McCowan, a 52-year-old carnival worker, was last seen on February 15th near Cesar Chavez and Su Road in Alamo. She was wearing a hoodie and blue jeans at the time of her disappearance. McCowan’s family has expressed concern, stating that she has been depressed and is eager to return to her home in Tyler. Anyone with information on McCowan’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office at 383-8114.


In Brownsville, police are searching for 86-year-old Raoul Amada, who was last seen on his way to an H-E-B store around 2:30 in the afternoon. Amado drives a gray 2012 Nissan Sentra with license plates reading DW3K038. He was wearing a blue and white striped shirt, gray pants, black shoes, and glasses at the time of his disappearance. Anyone with information on Amado’s location is asked to call the Brownsville Police Department at 956-548-7000.

Authorities emphasize that any information, no matter how small, could be crucial in locating these missing individuals and bringing them home safely.
