Born in McAllen and raised in Pharr, Texas, Amanda Magali Vega is a proud native of the Rio Grande Valley. Her journey in journalism began at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication Broadcast in 2019.
Amanda’s career in news started at KRGV, where she worked as a teleprompter operator. She joined Entravision in 2020 and quickly demonstrated her versatility in the newsroom, taking on roles as a news editor, bilingual reporter, and producer. In 2021, Amanda embarked on her first anchoring role as a bilingual sports anchor, a position she held until December 2023. Additionally, she shared her passion for sports through a radio segment that aired on Fox 92.3 FM in El Paso.
Outside of work, Amanda is passionate about creating a fulfilling and enjoyable life. She believes in the importance of balancing professional achievements with personal happiness and strives to make every moment count.
