La Joya Independent School District (ISD) administrators were informed of a bus accident earlier today, according to a press release sent to parents. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Lindbergh Avenue and Second Street in McAllen.
Three students were aboard the bus at the time of the accident, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. This marks the third crash involving La Joya ISD buses in a span of two weeks.
The school district is working closely with local authorities to investigate the cause of the accidents and to ensure the safety of all students riding the buses. Parents are encouraged to stay informed and contact the school district with any concerns.
