Authorities Investigating Violent Shooting Linked to Unlicensed Late-Night Venue
Houston police are investigating a mass shooting at an after-hours club that left six men injured, including four in critical condition.
The shooting occurred in the early morning hours at a venue that was still serving alcohol after 2 a.m., a violation of Texas liquor laws.
Police Searching for Suspect Vehicle
Authorities have released surveillance footage showing a black Toyota Camry or Corolla believed to be connected to the crime. No suspects have been publicly identified.
Crackdown on Illegal Clubs
Houston PD confirmed that the club was operating illegally, continuing to serve alcohol well past the legal cutoff time of 2:00 a.m.
“We’re actively working to shut down these types of businesses,” officials stated, emphasizing the public safety risk they pose.
Shooting Deemed an Isolated Incident
Although the motive remains under investigation, police have described the event as an isolated incident, not tied to ongoing gang or drug-related violence.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
