Mexico Rejects ICE Deportation Flight Over Paperwork Issue

The State Department has provided clarity on reports that Mexico recently rejected an ICE deportation flight. According to spokesperson Tammy Bruce, the refusal was due to a paperwork misunderstanding, not a lack of cooperation.

“Mexico received four ICE flights on Thursday,” Bruce confirmed, adding that two military flights were also sent to Guatemala as part of ongoing deportation efforts.

The “Remain in Mexico” policy, which requires some asylum seekers to await U.S. immigration court hearings in Mexico, depends on strong collaboration between the two countries. However, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum recently stated that Mexico will not host non-Mexican nationals and is in discussions with the Trump administration about funding deportation flights.

Border Security Measures Increase
To bolster border enforcement, the Pentagon is deploying 1,500 Army personnel and Marines to the southern border. Meanwhile, ICE agents continue to focus on arresting criminal aliens, which has sparked controversy among some Democrats who argue the tactics create fear and instability.
