New Study Confirms Family Dinners Help Teens Stay Drug-Free
An eye-opening study published in the Journal of Aggression, Maltreatment, and Trauma has revealed that family dinners play a critical role in reducing drug use among teenagers. The study, which examined over 2,000 adolescents, found that those who regularly participated in family meals had significantly lower rates of alcohol, marijuana, and e-cigarette use. Researchers attribute this to the strengthening of familial bonds, which helps decrease risky behaviors through improved communication and routine.
