58-Year-Old Driver Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Donna

DONNA – A two-vehicle crash in Donna has left one man dead, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Authorities say the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. on FM 1423 when a Dodge Ram driven by 58-year-old Francisco Lopez sideswiped a Toyota Grand Highlander traveling in the opposite direction.

The Dodge Ram then veered off the road and crashed into a fence. Lopez was transported to McAllen Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

The driver of the Toyota was not taken to the hospital. DPS says the crash remains under investigation.
