Pharr Avocado Festival Announces Star-Studded Lineup with Chris Young as Headliner
Pharr, TX – The countdown is on as less than 40 days remain until the city of Pharr hosts its annual Avocado Festival. Set to take place on Saturday, October 12th, the festival will celebrate the city’s role in avocado transportation while featuring an exciting musical lineup, headlined by country music sensation Chris Young.
Music Lineup and Performances
Pharr city officials recently announced the musical acts for this year’s festival, which will include performances by Trey Gonzalez, Mesteno, La Casetera, and Red, America’s number one Taylor Swift tribute band. The event promises a day filled with top-notch entertainment, food, and family-friendly activities.
Country singer Chris Young will be headlining the festival, bringing his chart-topping hits to the stage and drawing fans from across the region.
Celebrating Avocado Transportation
The festival also serves to highlight Pharr’s importance as a major hub for avocado transportation. “One of the things that makes this so special is that it’s our way of celebrating one of our major corridors that transports produce, especially avocado, from Mexico to the rest of the country,” said a city official. Pharr’s International Bridge handles 80% of the avocados transported into the U.S., making the city a key player in the nation’s avocado supply chain.
