A former Port Isabel ISD substitute teacher arrested by Laguna Vista police. Cameron County Jail records show Leif Ericson Varnum was taken to the county jail on Friday and possession of child pornography, indecency with a child and invasive visual recording charges, Varnum was jailed on a $145,000 bond.
In a press release, the district officials confirmed that Varnum is, quote, no longer affiliated with the district and that they are cooperating with the investigation.
